FLOR DE CACAO
FLOR DE CACAO 70% DARK CHOCOLATE
Flor de Cacao, otherwise known as quararibea funebris, is a tree native to México, respected by the Mayans for its medicinal qualities. It grows in Chiapas, the very same province in which our heirloom Criollo cacao is born. One of the more oral editions of Casa Bosques chocolate, accented with notes of caramel, and hints of dried and candied fruit. It is also one of the essential ingredients in the preparation of the traditional chocolate-maize drink known as tejate.
The spirit of Casa Bosques sets itself apart from the modern chocolate industry. Artisans at the Casa Bosques Atelier strive for elegant, raw, bold, unfussy avors for complex palettes, combining basic ingredients in small batches until the perfect chocolate is produced. Each avor prole is achieved by testing unique combinations of local ingredients sourced from México’s rich plant life. Casa Bosques’s avors are inspired by an appreciation for craftsmanship, and the idea that when the ingredients we use every day and the things we consume have in themselves become a work of art, then we shall be able to achieve a balanced life.
To preserve the quality of our bars, keep them in their original packaging, away from humidity, air and light, close to 18°C. In order to make the most of their freshness, we recommend that you consume them within 2 months of your purchase.
